Program Description:

Do you know what to do when the media comes to your door? Attendees will learn insights from local news directors on what types of stories are most news worthy and the kinds of information news sources typically seek. Professionals in the Communications field will share insights which can be used by those who work in many organizational capacities such as marketing, communications, development and leadership.

Attendees will learn what it means to effectively tell the story of an individual or organization.  Attendees will learn how to communicate of the organization’s core values, vision, mission, and ethical behaviors to others effectively. Attendees will learn about the essential elements in telling the story of their own organization in ways that are most effective, engaging and informative to others. Attendees will hear from an experienced panel of communications professionals as they discuss relevant issues to today’s news and communications environment.
