Residents Can Pick-Up Free Business Attire at Open House Thursday, February 22 from 10 am – 2pm

Wardrobes for Work provides free professional/casual business attire to individuals entering or re-entering the workforce

ASTON, PA – On Thursday, February 22, Neumann University’s Center for Leadership will host an open house for its Wardrobes for Work program. Local residents in need of workplace suitable clothing will have access to thousands of articles of gently used men’s and women’s business casual attire and business suits – all free of charge. The open house will be from 10 am to 2 pm on the second floor of the Rocco A. Abessinio Building on the campus of Neumann University (1 Neumann Drive, Aston, PA 19014).

“Wardrobes for Work seeks to remove one of the barriers – purchasing work suitable clothing – that local residents may face when attending job interviews, reentering the workforce, starting a new job, or simply maintaining their existing work wardrobe,” said Danielle McNichol, General Counsel of Neumann University and Director of the Neumann Center for Leadership. “We have thousands of articles of clothing that have been donated through the generosity of the community that are available at no cost to residents who need a new wardrobe for work or need to supplement their existing work attire.”

The Wardrobes for Work program was initiated by Neumann University’s Center for Leadership earlier this year and offers a range of men’s and women’s business suits, dress suits, and casual workplace attire. In order to ensure that enough clothes are available in a variety of sizes, individuals will be limited to three outfits during the open house. Over the past several months, dozens of local businesses and law firms, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, and Delaware County government offices have helped collect thousands of articles of clothing by placing workplace attire donation boxes in their offices.

Neumann University is easily accessible by SEPTA and the campus is a stop on the 114 Bus Route. To plan your trip via public transit, please visit www.septa.org/m/maps/trip.html.

Individuals who are unable to make the open house but are in need of workplace attire are encouraged to schedule an appointment by emailing mcnichod@neumann.edu or by calling 610-358-4528.
