Joy Medori, Brvheart

speaker bioJoy Medori began working with survivors of sexual and interpersonal violence in 2014 with a local, survivor-led group called Voices Inc.. She started doing anti-human trafficking work in the Delaware County area in 2013 with BRVHEART, a local volunteer group of Love146; she now works as their liaison. In 2016, Joy was asked to co-chair Delaware County’s anti-human trafficking coalition (DCAT). She has been working directly with local survivors of human trafficking in a long-term residential facility for the New Day to Stop Trafficking Program since 2017. The majority of her work has focused on training, raising awareness, and collaborating with local groups in order to better meet the needs of victims and survivors in our community.
