Together, Rick and Lori host a podcast, the Employer Chronicles, which focuses on labor law. The pair cover topics that could affect businesses and the way they operate and give insights on how to deal with the rules, laws and regulations governing the business community. Together they have nearly 50 years in management, labor and employment law. Rick and Lori recently hosted a Fisher Phillips seminar on workplace violence prevention, featuring guest speakers from the FBI and the Philadelphia Police Department, for more than 50 business owners, in-house counsel, human resource executives and safety professionals.

Lori Armstrong Halber is a partner in the firm’s Philadelphia office. With an eye towards practical results, she has been representing management in all aspects of labor relations and employment law for nearly 20 years.
Lori has extensive experience defending employers before federal and state courts and administrative agencies in matters involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), with particular class and collective action experience.
With respect to traditional labor matters, Lori provides labor relations counseling (including formulating comprehensive and strategic union avoidance tactics), defends clients in grievance arbitrations and represents employers before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
Lori regularly provides preventive counseling and training for executives, supervisors and employees on topics such as harassment prevention, the respectful workplace, effective communication, performance management, diversity and inclusion and union avoidance.
Lori is a member of the firm’s Women’s Initiative & Leadership Council Steering Committee.
Lori was listed in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers – Rising Stars in 2007 and has been regularly selected for inclusion in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers since that time. In 2006 she was selected as a “Lawyer on the Fast Track” by The Legal Intelligencer.

Rick Grimaldi is a partner in the Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. offices. He gets results with an understanding of the practical business needs of his clients. Rick is the Chair of the Fisher Phillips Government Solutions practice group.
His national practice spans all aspects of labor and employment law including regularly representing employers in litigation matters involving discrimination claims and wrongful termination claims.
He provides advice, counsel and training on such topics as interviewing and hiring, performance management, creating a respectful workplace and drafting of employment handbooks and policies.
In addition, he assists businesses in traditional labor matters such as formulating comprehensive and strategic union avoidance practices, protecting employers in union election campaigns, negotiating collective bargaining agreements and defending grievance and unfair labor practice claims.
Rick also assists employers with regulatory and government administrative issues at the local, state and federal levels. Rick has been selected for inclusion in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers every year since 2007. He is also a host on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT-AM in Philadelphia.
