Mary McFall Hopper, Delaware County Sheriff

Mary McFall Hopper is a life-long resident of Delaware County and currently lives in Ridley Park Borough, Pa. A graduate of Ridley High School, she was elected the 63rd Sheriff of Delaware County, Pa. on November 5, 2013.  An experienced attorney, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania.  She went on to study law at Dickinson University Law School graduating magna cum laude in 1990 with a J.D. degree.

Mary has always been an active member of her community as both a parent of two sons and as a citizen.  She served as a member of the Ridley Park Borough Council from 2002 to 2007 and during her time on council served as Vice President, Finance Chair and President.

Mary’s has served as a Commissioner for the Delaware County Women’s Commission, Committeewoman for Ridley Park Republican Committee, as well as serving as a Board member for local sports clubs and the Ridley Education Foundation.

She was sworn into office on Monday, January 6, 2014 for a 4-year term as Sheriff.
