Nancy Caramanico is an Educational Technology Specialist who has worked with organizations for 20 years to foster innovative technology and learning environments. An expert in digital technology and social media uses, Nancy most recently worked as the Digital Content Manager for World Meeting of Families Philadelphia 2015 and the visit of Pope Francis to Philadelphia.
She motivates leaders and educators with insights into learning, digital communications engagement, and solutions for transforming organizations through innovative technology. Nancy’s proficiency comes from a proven background in technology, education, strategic planning and leadership.
Nancy has been dedicated to innovative technology uses and education since her children where small when she began teaching and then went on to pursue a Master’s degree and Instructional Technology certification at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. She is a Pennsylvania certified Instructional Technology Specialist.
Nancy has worked with private schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for 20 years as the Director for Technology, K-12, a teacher, tech coordinator, staff developer and consultant directing many large-scale projects using technology to improve learning and leadership results. She served on the diocesan-level IT task force for designing the first high-tech high school for the Philadelphia Archdiocese, oversaw a refresh of diocesan-wide school websites for 200 schools and spearheaded the diocese’s first online professional development webinar series initiative entitled the Virtual Academy. Nancy has been an organizer of online communities and coordinates a social media online community for Catholic educators. Nancy is on the Marketing Task Force for the National Catholic Educational Association and serves on educational advisory boards for several Philadelphia area non-profits. Nancy has presented nationally and locally on topics related to innovative uses of technology, digital citizenship and internet safety
