Neumann Public Safety

June 27th, 2016

The Delaware County Partnership for Public Safety was launched in April 2016. The partnership is a collaboration between Neumann University’s Center for Leadership, the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office, Delaware County Council and the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.
With the partnership, we will be promoting the freedom, autonomy and growth of our Community in ways that are lawful, safe, secure and collaborative. Read the about us section of our site to learn more.

Our first program has been announced and registration has been made available. Please view the our Media Advisory below to learn more about our inaugural program.

The Delaware County Partnership for Public Safety will hold a special public program about planning and preparing for an active shooter on Thursday, May 19 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon on the campus of Neumann University. The event is free and open to the public.

Attendees, who must be pre-registered because of limited space, will begin arriving at 8 a.m. The official program will begin at 9 a,m.  Representatives from the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office, Haverford and Radnor Township Police Departments, and Allied Barton will discuss preparation and prevention; situational awareness; and response.  Participants will also learn about the resources available from local, county, state and federal public safety partners.

Participants will also have the opportunity to see the Delaware County Mobile Command Unit and the county’s SWAT ONE armored response and rescue vehicle.  Both vehicles will be located outside the event.
More information on the Delaware County Partnership for Public Safety can be found at: This program will be held in the Bruder Life Center denoted by the #3 on the Campus Map.
