Seminar on Pennsylvania’s Animal Protection Laws Will Feature
Dogs Available for Adoption
Attendees encouraged to bring dry dog food to donate to Brandywine Valley SPCA to assist with influx of dogs they are caring for from areas impacted by Hurricane Dorian
ASTON, PA – On Thursday, September 12, the Neumann University Center of Leadership will host a program detailing efforts to protect Pennsylvania’s pets and other animals from abuse and cruelty. In addition to legislative and legal updates, program participants will also have the opportunity to interact with dogs that are available for adoption from the Brandywine Valley SPCA.
Attendees are also encouraged to bring dry dog food to donate to the Brandywine Valley SPCA to assist with the care of dogs that were recently transported to Pennsylvania from areas impacted by Hurricane Dorian.
Neumann is hosting the program in partnership with the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office, Brandywine Valley SPCA, Senator Tom Killion, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the Pennsylvania State Animal Rescue Team, and caring members of the community to discuss animal laws in our communities.
“Protecting Pennsylvania Pets” will be presented in the Meagher Theater on Neumann University’s campus in Aston, PA. Speakers will provide attendees with several updates regarding current and pending statewide legislation, recent case law impacting animal owners, laws related to animal shelters, and legal issues and requirements for service or comfort animals.
The program is FREE and open to the public, but registration is required. Attendees can receive Continuing Legal Educational credits, Human Resources Professional credits (HRCI); Social Work and CEU credits. Individuals can pre-register at: http://bit.ly/protectPApets
