Mr. Bohnenberger is the Vice-President of AlliedBarton’s Government Services Division. Allied Universal is the nations’ largest privately held, American-owned security services company with more than 140,000 employees securing business and government critical infrastructure. He is responsible for all aspects of the company’s portfolio of more than 250 government accounts valued at $750 Million, and incudes Federal, State and Local government agencies and critical infrastructure. Mr. Bohnenberger is also responsible for developing Allied Universal’s expertise unique to government clients and leads the company’s Transit Security and Public Utility Security Committees, and serves as Allied Universal’s representative to industry associations such as the American Public Transportation Association, the American Water Works Association, American Public Power Association and the National Association of Security Companies’ National Caucus of Government Security Contractors which advises the US Department of Homeland Security on all aspects of the Federal Government’s Contract Security Guard Program.
Mr. Bohnenberger enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve in 1984 serving in the Field Artillery and in various other roles during his 8 years of service, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant. Mr. Bohnenberger has more than 20 years of public and private sector experience starting his professional career with the Republican National Committee in 1990, then serving as a Presidential Appointee in the Administration of President George H.W. Bush as Administrative Assistant to the President’s Science Advisor. In 1994 Mr. Bohnenberger joined the campaign staff of Governor and former Secretary of Homeland Security Tom Ridge, going on to serve 6 years in Governor Ridge’s Administration first as Director of the Bureau of State Employment and then as Director of the Governor’s Regional Office in Philadelphia. In these roles, Mr. Bohnenberger was responsible for the development and implementation of personnel policies, the selection and appointment of key staff, and as an advisor to the Governor and Cabinet on various issues including economic development, state agency operations and capital investment.
In 2001 Mr. Bohnenberger made the transition to the private sector moving to IBM as a Senior Consultant in IBM’s largest consulting practice, and serving as the primary liaison for that practice to the US Department of Homeland Security. Mr. Bohnenberger played a critical role in coordinating IBM’s efforts in the development of that federal agency. In 2003, Mr. Bohnenberger became the Senior Vice-President of Government Banking for Sovereign/Santander Bank where he was responsible for the bank’s government banking portfolio of more than $1 Billion and 800 government clients helping guide their financial investments.
Mr. Bohnenberger holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Villanova University and a Master of Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania.
