Tom Killion, Pennsylvania State Senator

Pennsylvania State Senator

Senator Killion brings significant private sector experience and demonstrated leadership ability at the state and county government levels. He has actively supported medical malpractice reform, property tax reform and efforts to privatize the state’s liquor system.

An avid bicyclist and co-chairman of the bipartisan, bicameral Bicycle Caucus, Killion supports open space initiatives. He worked to secure funding for bike paths and hiking trails in the state’s transportation plan including the Valley Forge Trail along the Schuylkill River. As part of the same transportation plan, Killion also supported efforts to secure funding for mass transit.

A graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School and Pennsylvania State University, Killion served as chairman of the Delaware County Council (1992-2000), and as U.S. Rep. Curt Weldon’s campaign chairman (1990-2003).

He has served on numerous boards, including: Southeastern PA Transportation Authority (SEPTA), Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry, Delaware County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Delaware County Domestic Abuse Project, Elwyn Board of Directors, Greater Philadelphia Marketing and Tourism Council, Penn State Delaware County Advisory Board, Rocky Run YMCA and Southeastern PA Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Senator Killion lives in Middletown with his wife, Eileen. They have two daughters and are members of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Chester Heights.
